Optimizing Interpreter Services: A Comprehensive Guide to On-Demand Phone (OPI) and Video Remote Interpretation (VRI)

Sign In

Step 1: Access the Sign In Page

  1. Open the Lango application to reach the Sign In page.

Step 2: Enter Your Email

  1. In the Enter Email section, type your email address.
  2. Click the Next button to proceed.

Step 3: Enter Your Password

  1. Enter your password in the provided field.
  2. Click the Sign In button to access your account.

Step 4: Use the “Forgot Password?” Option

  1. If you have forgotten your password, click the Forgot Password? link to reset your password.

Step 5: Use the Langston Chatbot

  1. On the bottom left of the page, you’ll find the Langston Chatbot.
  2. Use the chatbot for assistance with any issues that may arise. Langston is there to help.

Dashboard and Accessing OPI/VRI

This guide will help you navigate the dashboard and access the OPI/VRI feature.

Step 1: Access the Dashboard

  1. After signing in, you’ll be directed to the Dashboard.

Step 2: Click the OPI/VRI Button

  1. On the right top of the Dashboard, next to your username, click the OPI/VRI button.

Step 1: Connect to Lango Contact Center

  1. After clicking the OPI/VRI button, you will be redirected to the Lango Contact Center.
  2. Allow notifications to use your microphone and camera.

Step 2: Set Your Status

  1. On the upper right side of the page, next to your username, select your status from the following options:
    • Offline: Not available for calls.
    • Available: Ready to receive video and audio calls.
    • Unavailable: Not available for calls.
    • Break: On a break.

Handling Video and Audio Calls

Step 1: Accepting a Call

  1. Once an interpreter accepts your call request, you will receive a notification to join the call.
  2. Click Accept to start the video or audio call on the next page.

Step 2: Managing the Call

  1. The interpreter will receive your request and has the option to accept or reject the call.
  2. If the interpreter accepts the call, you will see the interpreter's video or audio pop up in the upper right corner of the window.
  3. During the call, you will have access to:
    • The Lango logo at the bottom left.
    • The Request ID and the number of participants.
    • Microphone and video icons at the bottom center to manage settings.
    • A chat icon to communicate with the interpreter.

  1. Once the call is finished, the interpreter will end the call. The End Call button will then switch to Complete.
  2. The interpreter should click Complete to finish the request.
  3. Feedback from the interpreter will be available soon, as it is important for our continuous improvement.
